Is this site really free?

Yes. There is no fee, no paywall, and no account to create. Some of the resources it links to charge for their services, so every listing carries a badge: Free, Free tier, or Low cost. The badge tells you what to expect before you click.

Who is this site for?

Job seekers in the United States. Nearly everything listed here is U.S. based or U.S. focused: the job boards, the government portals, the nonprofits, the workforce agencies. Visitors from other countries are welcome to look around, but most of these resources will not help a search outside the U.S., and the site is not designed to meet other countries' rules, such as Europe's GDPR.

Do I need to sign up for anything?

No. There are no accounts, no email lists, and no newsletter. You can use every page of this site without telling it who you are.

Who runs this site?

One person, not a company. I spent 18 years working at a national job board, and I built this site to help job seekers ramp up quickly with tools that are free or close to it. The About page has the longer story.

Do the listed organizations pay to be here?

No. Nobody pays for a listing, and no listing is an ad. Resources are chosen because they are useful to job seekers, not because anyone asked or paid to be included.

How do I know the links are current?

Every listing shows the month its link and its free status were last checked, and the whole directory gets a link check every month. Links still break between checks, so if you hit a dead one, a quick note to the address in the footer gets it fixed.

Can I suggest a resource?

Please do. Send it to the address in the footer. If it is genuinely useful to job seekers and free or low cost, it has a good shot at being added.

How can I support this site?

The site is free and stays free. If it helped you and you are able to, you can leave a tip through the Leave a tip link in the footer. Tips go through Ko-fi and cover the cost of running the site. Never expected, always appreciated.

Are you affiliated with the organizations listed here?

No. This site is an independent directory. Listing an organization is not an endorsement of everything it does, and none of them review or approve what this site says.

What does this site do with my information?

Almost nothing, because it collects almost nothing. There are no forms and no accounts. The site does use Google Analytics, which anonymously tracks how people use it: roughly where visitors are, which pages get used, and which ones do not. I use that to find what is working, what is not, and where the site can improve. It never tells me who you are. The details, including how to opt out, live on the Privacy page.
