Nearly all federal civilian hiring runs through USAJOBS, and the hiring-path filters there matter: openings can be limited to the public, veterans, students, current federal employees, or other groups, so filter to the paths you qualify for before you read postings. Follow the requirements in each announcement. USAJOBS currently limits resumes to two pages, so focus on the experience and qualifications the role requires, and expect timelines of weeks to months.

Structured entry routes, most of them paid, for students, recent graduates, and career changers. One caution from the official record: the Presidential Management Fellows program was terminated in February 2025, so treat any site still promoting it as out of date.
